Course Outline:

In this semester course, students will explore how cultures change and adapt over time. They will learn how these changes impact society, shape our world, and influence our daily lives.

Through engaging activities and discussions, they will discover the dynamic relationship between cultural evolution and societal consequences, gaining a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

Students will develop skills such as research, cultural awareness, group work and communicating ideas.

This course is complimented by the Year 11 Senior Social Studies in Action course.

Where Does It Lead:

Senior Social Studies 201 and 301, tertiary study options such as Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Human Services, Education, Māori and Indigenous Studies, Media and Communication, Law and Legal Studies, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Global Studies and Sociology.
