Health Consultation
HEALTH EDUCATION:
LHS is committed to working with our akonga and community to teach appropriate, up to date and meaningful health and physical education programmes. We aim for these programmes to comply with associated legislation and guidelines. A requirement under the Education and Training Act 2020 is that at least once every two years schools must consult with their communities.
CONSULTATION AND WRITTEN STATEMENT:
Consultation can take place in a variety of ways, however, the Board or elected person considers the best means to ensure that ALL groups of our community can be engaged to enable the differing views held in our community to be explored. This provides a learning opportunity for akonga, kaiako and whānau along with HPE programmes being evaluated and developed.
