Entry Recommendations:

Students are expected to have at least completed one semester course of Physical Education or they can discuss their suitability with the HOLA. Students taking this course are not able to enter into PED201. 

Course Outline:

This course explores physical activity and recreation from a range of perspectives including personal experiences, assisting others, involvement in community activity and risk management. Students choosing this course should be motivated both to participate in physical activity and explore concepts further in the classroom.

Please note, students wishing to pursue a University Entrance pathway in Physical Education are advised to choose PED201, not PER202 or PER302.

Students can not choose PER202 and PED201.

Assessment:

Level 2 unit standards and achievement standards.  Up to 17 credits.

Where Does It Lead:

Level 3 Sports Coaching,  Physical Education and Recreation, Outdoor Education (SPC303, PER302) with HOLA approval.

Career options include teaching, coaching, training, health promotion and many more in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation industry.
