Workbooks $120.00 plus approx cost of $150.00 for a field trip to the International Antarctic Centre, New Zealand School of Tourism, Akaroa and hotel and tram visit (subject to availability)

Course Outline:

This course provides an introduction to the importance of Tourism and the importance of this industry to New Zealand's economy. This includes exploring the different work roles that are available within Tourism.

Students develop practical work-related skills and learn about tourist destinations here in New Zealand and overseas. 

Tourism provides the opportunity to gain up to 18 unit standard credits.

Where Does It Lead:

Year 13 Tourism and it will also provide a foundation on which to develop the skills and knowledge required by the Tourism Industry.
