Open Entry.  Students can also select PED201 but must be aware of a 4 credit overlap. 

Course Outline:

This course is designed for students wanting to improve their interpersonal skills through participating in sport and physical activity. Students choosing this course, should be active participants and should want to improve their confidence through developing their leadership skills.

Students will focus on group processes that are important in successful teams, plan and lead coaching sessions for primary school students, perform specific physical activity/s in an applied setting as well as planning and executing a physical activity event for specific groups of students.

Where Does It Lead:

Level 3 Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Outdoor Education (SPC302, PED301, PER302). The course provides valuable skills that are complimentary to a variety of training and career pathways in the sport, leisure, fitness and health industry.
