Course Outline:

ENG301 is an academic English course designed for students who are ready to engage critically with a wide range of literature and film. Through the study of both written and visual texts, you will explore universal themes such as identity, power, justice, love, and the complexities of human nature. You will examine how authors and directors use language and form to reflect society, challenge ideas, and provoke thought.

You will develop the ability to write and speak with clarity and purpose, crafting both analytical and creative responses. Close reading and analysis will help you uncover deeper meanings within texts; while writing and discussion will strengthen the ability to form and express original ideas.

ENG301 develops strong critical thinking and communication skills through a rich, thought-provoking course of study that fosters curiosity and deepens understanding of the world and its people.
