Coverage of House Athletic Sports, 2026

What an incredible day we had at our annual House Athletic Sports! Even though we had to postpone the week before, the energy, colour, and house spirit on display made it a fantastic whole-school event. It was awesome to see so many students getting involved, whether competing, supporting from the sidelines, or proudly representing their houses in full colour.

A huge thank you to our students for the enthusiasm, effort, and encouragement shown throughout the day. Your willingness to step up, give things a go, and cheer one another on is what makes events like this so special. We are incredibly proud of the way you represented your houses.

Thank you also to our staff, House Captains, and organisers who worked behind the scenes (and out in the sun!) to ensure the day ran smoothly. These events simply don’t happen without your time, energy, and commitment.

House pride was on full display, with excitement echoing across the field and some outstanding costumes adding to the fun. The friendly competition was fierce, and the participation across events was fantastic to see.

Our Houses had some fun throughout the day with the annual House Corral decoration, House Parade, and Fashion on the Field. 

Kōtare took out the top place for both the House Corral and the House Parade, but it was Kūaka who showcased the MOST house costumes and colour in Fashion on the Field. Year 13 pink troll dolls from Īnaka won the best group costume and Poppy Penfold from Mako won the best individual costume! 

The Staff vs Year 13 relay race was an exciting event again this year with the STUDENTS taking out the win!
