Tournaments: The team will attend the NZSS tournament 25-28 August. Costs will be out for this in Term 2

Futsal

What is it? Futsal is a 5v5 game played with a smaller low bounce ball on a basketball sized court

When: Wednesday afternoons at either Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre, 50 St Asaph Street or ARA, Madras Street

Players: A minimum of eight players per team

Game times: Range from 3.30pm to 6.00pm - depends on the number of teams in the grade. 30 minutes duration

Teams: Students will be allowed to choose their own team, but we may add other students so they do not miss out on playing. If you do not have a full team or anyone you would like to be with, we will endeavour to place you in a team.

If, for some reason, there are not enough players for a team to be entered into the competition, students will receive a refund. If a student withdraws once the team has been entered into the competition, a refund of sports fees will be at the discretion of the Sports Department and an administration fee may be applied.

Transport: Arrange own transport home

Junior Competition - Year 9 and 10

Uniform: PE uniform, non marking soled indoor shoes will be required plus long socks and shin pads

Cost: $120 includes bus fee to venue

Senior Competition - Year 11, 12 and 13

Uniform: Uniform supplied, non-marking soled indoor shoes will be required, plus long socks and shin pads

Cost: $130 includes bus fee to venue
