Students will gain knowledge and experience in:

  • Nutritional issues affecting the well-being of New Zealand society.
  • The influence of multinational food corporations on eating patterns in New Zealand.
  • A food related ethical dilemma for New Zealand society.
  • Influences of media messages on food choices.

Weekly practical work is an integral part of this course
