The geographic area described in the enrolment scheme shall stand fast and shall operate as the school's home zone, under Section 11D of the Education Act 1989. A copy of the home zone is available at www.schoolzones.co.nz
For 2017, there are two zones; one for Year 10-13 students and one for Year 9 students.
For 2018, the above changes to Year 11-13 students, and Year 9-10 students.
All students living in the home zone are entitled to enrol at the school at any time.
Changes to Home Zone
The amendments to the Lincoln High School home zone that took effect from 1 January 2017 are as follows:
All sections of the scheme relating to the selection of students who live outside the geographic area (ie, the home zone) described in the scheme are deleted and are replaced by the requirements of Section 11F of the Education Act 1989 and the instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.
Applications for pre-enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
|Priority 2: Students with siblings (brothers and/or sisters) currently attending Lincoln High School.
Priority 3: Students with siblings (brothers and/or sisters) who previously attended Lincoln High School.
Priority 4: Students who are children of parents who previously attending Lincoln High School.
Priority 5: Students who are children of Board of Trustees employees.
Priority 6: All other applicants. Student's name will be placed in the ballot for a place at Lincoln High School.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.
Year 9 Out of Zone enrolments close on 27 July 2018. If needed, a ballot will be done on 31 July and then all successful/unsuccessful applicants will be advised via email on 1 August 2018.
Year 10-13 Out of Zone enrolments close on 24 August 2018 with successful/unsuccessful applicants being advised by email shortly after.
