Course Outline:

This course is a continuation of Visual Arts - Part 1 (10ARTa).  To do this course, 10ARTb*, you need to have completed the semester one course, 10ARTa as the learning from semester one is needed for semester two. 

This is a continuation of the semester one course that results in a full year course (completed over two semesters) that allows students to pursue the full range of Visual Arts disciplines. New techniques and in-depth investigations of particular artmaking methods and ideas are explored.  Students’ critical thinking and creative abilities are fostered through student directed projects.

A variety of creative projects.

Note: Only one Visual Arts course may be taken in in Y10 either as a full year (2 linked semester course) or the standalone 1 semester course.


Assessment is by means of presentation of practical work, peer critique and self-review.  

Where Does It Lead:

Year 11 Visual Arts (11ART) and to specialist courses in Years 12 and 13. Art also opens up opportunities in a huge range of creative enterprises, including animation, photography, architecture, film, design, etc.
