Entry Requirements:

Completion of FNT101 is highly recommended due to the academic nature of this course. Alternatively, admission is at the discretion of the HOLA.  Students taking this course may not enter HOS202, unless in exceptional circumstances they have HOLA approval.  Course maximum is 24 students.

Course Outline:

This course includes internal and external Achievement Standards only.  Students are able to gain a Course endorsement.  Students will gain knowledge and experience in: 

  • Specific food needs.
  • Food choices, well-being and determinants of health.
  • Advanced food processing procedures
  • Sustainability.
