$12.00, this includes paper, rendering pens, A3 folder, access to CAD and Adobe Suite (photoshop etc) modelling materials and department resources.

Entry Recommendations:

Open entry although it is advised that you have also taken semester one especially if you want to continue DVC in Year 11.

Course Outline:

Part 2 – This is the Second semester, the material in each semester will be different and it is advised you take both semesters, especially if you want to continue to Year 11 DVC. In Semester B, we take your architectural design skills to the next level with more complex and creative challenges.

You’ll work on exciting design projects like:

  • A Food Truck or dream sleepout designed for a specific site

You’ll build on your ability to:

  • Generate and evolve ideas visually
  • Use 2-point perspective
  • Create high-quality models and spatial presentations
  • Use CAD tools to visualise your designs

This course is perfect preparation for Year 11 and NCEA Level 2 DVC and ideal for students considering careers in architecture, spatial design, or construction, or any design. Assessment:

Assessment will be through project-based work, completed throughout the semester.

DVC year 11.
