Course Outline:

There are no NCEA credits on offer in this course, it is based on practical life skills relating to food and nutrition. Please discuss with your tutor if you wish to take this course. This course is designed for students to gain knowledge in:

  • The use of safe and hygienic practices when working with food
  • Basic cooking skills and techniques
  • The history of NZ food and traditional NZ recipes
  • Various Cultural Cuisines
  • Meal Preparation

There will be weekly practical classes.
