Course Outline:

This course examines how Māori literature, written in English, explores the history and literature of a Māori world view in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We will work together to select the texts that we study and the tikanga that will guide our learning time.

 There will be many opportunities to explore communication through reading, writing, speaking and listening.

  • speaking and presenting skills

  • formal writing skills

  • visual language skills



There is one internal NCEA assessment, including 3 literacy credits.
