designated caregiver. Students cannot go flatting.
If a student wants to stay in a school arranged homestay, please fill
out the
Homestay Accommodation Form.
If a student is not staying in our homestay accommodation programme
please complete the

Homestay Information
Homestay accommodation is arranged by Lincoln High School's Homestay
Co-ordinator. Host families are carefully selected for suitability and
are vetted by the New Zealand Police. The homestay co-ordinator supports
the homestay families and students to promote a happy positive
environment.
Living with a New Zealand family is an excellent way of improving
English and experiencing New Zealand culture first hand. Students are
treated as a member of the family and are well cared for. Homestay
parents hope that their student will join in with family activities.
They will do their best to help the student with any problems that may
arise.
Most students travel to and from school by school bus every day. All
homestays are close to school bus route, so students do not need to
arrange their own transport. This is very safe and convenient. School
fees do not include these transportation costs.
Students should take care of their belongings while living in a
homestay. The student's insurance policy should cover their personal
belongings and also there should be liability cover for any possible
damage to the property of the homestay family (see insurance
guidelines).
