Entry Recommendations:

This course is open entry but an interest in or an enjoyment of Shakespeare and drama is a must.

Course Outline:

Love puns and double entendre?  Want to learn how to ‘read’ Shakespeare and understand his language and ideas? This semester course will explore the language of Shakespeare in a play as well as a study of some of his famous poems. You will learn how and why the lessons written about nearly half a millennia ago are still as relevant today as they were in the 17th Century.

Assessment:

There is one internal NCEA assessment, including 4 credits. This will be in the form of a short dramatic monologue.
