Entry Requirements:

At least 8 Level 1 Physical Education credits (PED101, PER101, SPS101) or by HOLA approval. Students taking this course may not enter into PED201. 

Course Outline:

This course looks at physical activity from a range of perspectives including personal experiences, assisting others, working together as a team and risk management.

The following standards are being considered for this course:

AS91330  (2.4)  Perform a physical activity in an applied setting.

AS91333  (2.7)  Analyse the application of risk management strategies to a challenging outdoor activity.

AS91334  (2.8)  Consistently demonstrate social responsibility through applying a social responsibility model in physical activity.

AS91335  (2.9)  Examine the implementation and outcome(s) of a physical activity, event or opportunity.

US485         Demonstrate rafting skills in sheltered or slow-moving water.

AS91336  (2.10)  Analyse group processes in physical activity.

Where Does It Lead:

Level 3 Sports Coaching, Fit for Life,  Physical Education and Recreation, Outdoor Education (SPC303, FIT301, PER302, OED303) with HOLA approval.
