Entry Requirements:

14 Credits in NCEA Level 2 Music or by negotiation with the TIC.

Course Outline:

The range of standards that may be offered are:

91416/91418  Performance: Solo and group, 12 credits.

91419     Composition (recording), 8 credits.

91420     Aural and listening skills, 4 credits.

91421     Harmonic and tonal analysis, 4 credits.

91425      Research topic (own choice), 6 credits.

91424     Arranging music – compulsory, 4 credits.

All students will create individual programmes of study with a minimum of 18 credits internal and one external exam required to assist in subject endorsement.  Students decide which areas they will be assessed in based on their strengths.
