This course includes no credits and is based on practical life skills relating to food and nutrition. Students are not able to gain a Course Endorsement. This course is designed for students to gain knowledge in.
- Use safe hygiene practices with food
- Prepare and serve a light meal
- Participate in the preparation and serving of food
- The use of safe and hygienic practices when working with food
- Basic cooking skills and techniques
- The history of NZ food and traditional NZ recipes
- Foods from a different culture
There will be weekly practical classes but will not be assessed.
