This course introduces concepts and skills related to creating digital media outcomes, such as websites and animation. Topics offered are likely to include:
- Using Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create a professional and quality digital outcome using 3D imagery software
- Creating animations
- Use of digital media tools to create quality outcomes
- Website design and creation
- Analysis of existing digital outcomes
Skills:
- Using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective use of animation software
- Planning and Design of digital outcomes
- Communicating effectively
- Using graphics, text and sound to create a quality outcome
- Problem solving through the technological process
Students will design and create a printed media outcome to solve a real-world problem as their course project. It is expected that students will engage with their projects beyond class time.
There is one internal NCEA assessment in this course.
