- Course Outline:
This is a semester course that allows students to express their own ideas in the context of Graphic Design, Printmaking and Digital Photography. New techniques and in-depth investigations of particular artmaking methods and ideas are explored. Students’ critical thinking and creative abilities are fostered through student directed projects.
Projects include:
Digital Photography
Screen-print T-shirt Design.
Printmaking.
For those wishing to study Art, Design or Photography beyond Y10 we recommend you take both Part A and Part B Art courses.
- Assessment:
Assessment is by means of presentation of practical work, peer critique and self-review.
- Where Does It Lead:
Specialist courses in Years 12 and 13 such as Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography and Design. Art also opens up opportunities in a huge range of creative enterprises, including animation, photography, architecture, film, design, etc.
