Course Outline:

Year 9 Art is a semester course that covers the basic skills and fundamental ideas of the visual arts.  Importance is placed on learning how to develop creative thinking skills whilst equipping students with the technical skills to bring their ideas to life.

Practical work includes:

  • Drawing.       
  • Painting.       
  • Printmaking. 
  • Pinhole Camera Photography         

 

Assessment:

Assessment is by means of presentation of practical work, peer critique and self-review.

Where Does It Lead:

Art in Year 10 and beyond. Art also opens up opportunities in a huge range of creative enterprises, including animation, architecture, film, photography and design.
