School Regulations
Lincoln High School has about 1500 students and 100 staff and so it is
necessary to have rules that enable us to focus on the things that
we value: teaching, learning, and building positive relationships.
The school rules are based on the Lincoln High School values and students
are expected to behave in such a way that the
rights of students and staff are upheld.
In the classroom students are required to be on task, ensuring that
teaching and learning take place without disruption.
During the school day students are to stay on the school grounds
unless they have written permission from the school to leave. Year
13 students may leave the grounds when they do not have a class.
Students are expected to attend school unless they are sick or there
is some other unavoidable reason. An explanation for any absence
must be given to their Form Teacher.
The school Dress Code is to be followed. This requires students in
Years 9 to 12 to wear correct school uniform. Year 13 students may wear
appropriate mufti.
The possession, use, or other involvement with tobacco, alcohol or
drugs is not permitted. If a student needs to take prescription
drugs during the day they can be left at the School Office.
It is best that valuable items are not brought to school. However,
if it is necessary to do so then these should be left at the School
Office until required. The school does not accept responsibility for
lost valuables that have not been left at the Office.
As a school we are committed to providing a safe and pleasant
environment for all students and staff. This means that any form of
bullying, harassment or violence is not acceptable. We have a Safe
School Code that explains what bullying is and the responsibility
students have to keep our school free from bullying.
We value accepting responsibility for one?s own behaviour. If a
school rule is broken the student is expected to be honest about
their behaviour, accept the consequences and, where possible, work
towards putting things right.
School rules apply at school, travelling to and from school, on
school trips, or when students are associated with a school
activity.
